Facts about Greyhounds
Greyhound are sighthounds. They can never be let off leash in an unfenced area.
Greyhounds do not have a lot of body fat and thus require a coat in cold weather.
Greyhounds are typically docile and friendly however they will be shy in an unfamiliar setting.
It will take some time to for them to get comfortable in a new home.
Greyhounds are not prone to be hyperactive, they do not require a yard to run..
They do enjoy a nice walk on a leash.
They love a big fluffy bed and are known as 45 mile an hour couch potatoes.
Greyhounds have not had much exposure to children. They are unaccustomed to the type
of play a child may want to have with a dog. We do not recommend adopting a dog with
children under five.
We ask you to seriously look and see how respectful your child will
be with a greyhound or any other breed of dog.
Some greyhounds can live harmoniously with small dogs, cats and birds. Some cannot.
We do our best to find a dog that will fit your family needs.
